 Choose one of the following projects to create and turn in for a test grade. Due Tuesday / Wednesday, February 21 / 22.


1. Design a poster which advertises the “old” setting in Anthem as an ideal place to live. Slant the information to attract prospective residents. Include social institutions, rules, laws, and beliefs. Your poster should include both persuasive writing and appropriate visuals. Format and presentation are important.

2. Create a city map, a flag, and ONE of the following: constitution, Bill of Rights, or a national anthem – for the old setting or the new setting. Include all on a poster board.

3. Create a Power Point slide show presentation depicting the “ideal society” as envisioned by the Council of Scholars.

4. Create a Venn Diagram poster comparing and contrasting Anthem’s existing “ideal society” and the society envisioned by Prometheus. Must be at least 20 entries. It must be highly interesting and creative in design.

5. Create a board game of the book. Be sure to include rules and game pieces.

6. Create a CD of your perceived soundtrack of Anthem. Include a minimum of 10 songs that you think illustrate the themes, characters, settings, etc. of the book. Put in a CD case in which you design a cover and an insert that includes album notes that explain the significance of your song choices and anything else you might want to include.

7. Write a 10 entry “Reader’s Journal” for Anthem. Each entry must be a minimum of ¾ page, typed. See me for journal topic ideas.

 Be prepared to present and explain your project to the class.
 Make sure your name and block are on the project.
 Creativity and depth of thought are the most important aspects of this project.

 Grading:
Followed directions: 10 points
Accuracy: 15 points
In-class presentation: 20 points
Neatness, effort, and creativity: 25 points
Depth of thought and relation to the book: 30 points
